Coup!

I think we may be on the verge of a coup in the Larson household. My role as self-proclaimed "Queen of the Universe" may be at stake. The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy filled with some not-so-fun tasks. We've been picking up all the wayward twigs from the fallen tree, I think if the kids have to fill one more wheelbarrow full of sticks they may crack. We got a dumpster so we can finally get rid of piles of garbage we had no room to throw away. Hillbilly fires of couches, chairs & mattresses have left their metal guts carefully hidden in the weeds along with a metal table with the glass blown out, chunks of dry wall and goodies of the like. So now every trip from the backyard into the front yard involves carrying a piece of garbage with you. Neil has spent much of his time on the roof pounding shingles, rewiring electrical plugs and fixing various stuff that falls apart around here. I've spent hours yelling out orders at everyone with colorful threats thrown in such as- "We'll be doing this all summer if you don't get the lead out!" or "I told you you should have finished this roof when it was cool out, see if I care if you melt up there." So if you hear high pitched screams and laughs coming from our neck of the woods, no worries. I'm sure it's just me being tossed into the pool as the new regime takes over. I just hope they let me keep my crown.
