What Blizzard?!

Had the biggest snowfall since the Halloween Blizzard in 1991?? The snow started falling on the 11th and continued into the night. We got anywhere from about 18 inches to 24 inches. I was so blessed to have made it to work that day and spend the day playing in the drifts and wind with my friends and fellow instructors. Was the most amazing and fun day of snowboarding I have ever had. The wind at times actually stopped me in my tracks!! Luckily, technology has made some great winter clothing and I spent the day warm and able to enjoy the blizzard that was happening around me. Payton was there too with her friend Samantha. They braved the wind and cold as well and were able to experience as close to powder skiing as we'll probably ever get. Although we were able to get to Trollhaugen that day we were not able to leave. We split for the night with Payton and Sam going to their friend Crystal's house and I crashed at Mike and Jim's for the night. Thank goodness for 4-wheel drive. Pictured form left to right are Nick, Cushman, Chad, Briana and me. It is a day I will never forget and I will now always yearn for that next "fresh pow" day. Gotta love winter baby!!
